Pros: Case is similar to their other models. I have used this brand before and gotten a number of years out of them with casual use.
Cons: I don't like the way this model hides the volume up and down buttons behind a piece of plastic. It is also harder to take on and off than the similar model without the USB-C adapter. For those that like to keep their devices clean, this could be a pain. Though, it's certainly easier than some drop-proof brands with multiple pieces to the case.
Warnings: The website hides the fact that it will not link/sync with a laptop or MacBook behind an extra PDF document (technical specs). It is confusing for there to be two different spec links, as there is a product specs link as well. Personally, this is a major con of the adapter. I think the average user would presume it works just like their USB jack would since it covers it with a case and isn't a dongle. This fact needs to be right along the main specs on this page, clearly stating it won't sync to a computer and not hidden on another link/document. The USB-C adapter will power with a regular power brick. And it does work with any USB-C peripherals I have, like an ethernet adapter. However, you cannot charge and use data at the same time. I don't think this is worth the addition of a headphone jack. If you don't need to sync, then this allows you to at least listen to your headphones via a jack, while charging your iPad at the same time, without using a dongle.
I've also damaged my fingernail by sliding the USB-C adapter out of the case. It's good that it sticks in there well, but it's too good for when you need to take it out for syncing or cleaning.
