Myth 28L Backpack

1. stiff back panel
2. side pocket are difficult to use. Zippers are hard to open, get stuck everytime.
3. there is no cover or zipper for the outer pocket. The water resistant material is meaningless when outermost pocket is open to collect rain, snow and dust which can leaks through to main compartment through the inner material (not water resistant) of the pocket
4. Pockets in the main compartment are very tight. cant use for anything with little bit of thickness
5. the luggage pass through is narrow from the top. It is pain to take it off from trolley bag handle with some grooves. On top of that, the pass through is very stiff.
6. the backpack cant stand on its own
7. the slide through for ipad in the back pocket is small

Lot of hype and big words on official website but this backpack is not very practical. It is a struggle to use this backpack.

If you buy from stmgoods website, it is not easy and definitely not free to return this. You have to pay yourself and they also recommend to have insurance for the package. Means need to pay more.

It was too tight for my gear, even though I use the exact same laptop

I own both this bag and a King. I used the King most of last year when I was working as a teacher because the large open compartment could easily fit a lunch bag. This summer I went back to the Myth and have enjoyed rediscovering it. I find it much more comfortable to carry. And the luggage pass-thru is a benefit when traveling through airports. The many compartments makes it easy to pack and organize. And the ability to use the side zippered pouch to carry water is nice.

Two complaints: 1) Over-filling, the front section can massively impede the use of the main compartment. I have changed the way that I pack the bag and have been able to make it work for me. 2) The plastic zipper coating on the computer section started wearing off very soon after buying it. Not a huge deal but it is an annoyance.

Over, this is a great, well-made, high quality, bag at a fair price.

I have had my Myth for a couple years and have yet to find something to complain about. I overload it with reading materials and writing implements, and a heavier-than-need-be company laptop. I don’t take particularly good care of it and it is still tops. I have gotten thoughts that I need a fancier looking bag now that I’m promoted but they all lack the STM features I now think of as standard. And the Myth really is stylish. Highly recommended for people doing actual work.

The Myth port wine backpack is of excellent quality. I am happy with my purchase. I like the color and the many internal pockets. I also like the pass through holes on inside for cords which are well made. So far it is my favorite backpack. Great price too. :slightly_smiling::+1::blue_heart:
