Pros: Case is similar to their other models.  I have used this brand before and gotten a number of years out of them with casual use.
Cons:  I don't like the way this model hides the volume up and down buttons behind a piece of plastic.  It is also harder to take on and off than the similar model without the USB-C adapter.  For those that like to keep their devices clean, this could be a pain.  Though, it's certainly easier than some drop-proof brands with multiple pieces to the case.
Warnings:  The website hides the fact that it will not link/sync with a laptop or MacBook behind an extra PDF document (technical specs).  It is confusing for there to be two different spec links, as there is a product specs link as well.  Personally, this is a major con of the adapter.  I think the average user would presume it works just like their USB jack would since it covers it with a case and isn't a dongle.  This fact needs to be right along the main specs on this page, clearly stating it won't sync to a computer and not hidden on another link/document.  The USB-C adapter will power with a regular power brick.  And it does work with any USB-C peripherals I have, like an ethernet adapter.  However, you cannot charge and use data at the same time.  I don't think this is worth the addition of a headphone jack.  If you don't need to sync, then this allows you to at least listen to your headphones via a jack, while charging your iPad at the same time, without using a dongle.
     I've also damaged my fingernail by sliding the USB-C adapter out of the case.  It's good that it sticks in there well, but it's too good for when you need to take it out for syncing or cleaning.
